Suren Chand, a dedicated goat farmer from Malawai in Dreketi, is celebrating a prosperous festive season, having earned about $10,000 through his hard work.
Chand says with five years of experience in goat farming, he manages a herd of 68 goats on his farm.
He has sold 13 goats at the Labasa Market and aims to increase his income by later this evening.
When asked about his plans are for his earnings, Chand says he plans to buy a tractor to increase productivity at his farm and with the remaining money he will do shopping for his family.
He has wished everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.
