Dr Waqainabete resigns from Parliament

Opposition MP Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete has resigned from Parliament with effect from the 10th of this month.

Dr Waqainabete’s resignation has been gazetted.

This sees the exit of five FijiFirst elected MPs in close to 3 months and follows the resignation of Voreqe Bainimarama, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Doctor Mahendra Reddy and Rosy Akbar.

The next FijiFirst candidate on the list to come into parliament is Veena Kumar Bhatnagar, who received 527 votes.
