Minister for Health, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete and National Federation Party Leader, Professor Biman Prasad clashed in parliament today after Prasad said that he has never heard any member of the government acknowledge the role of remittances during the 2020/2021 pandemic.

While debating the motion on the Consolidated Review Report of the Reserve Bank of Fiji 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 Annual Reports, Professor Prasad says Fiji did not have the budgetary space to deal with the massive issue of loss of income through loss of employment.

Dr Waqainabete says this is not true.

Professor Prasad then said that Dr Waqainabete is the worst Health Minister ever in this country.
