Dr Korovavala becomes PS at PM’s Office, Dr Taga moves to PS Foreign Affairs post and Lesuma is Acting PS Policing

Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister, Dr Raijeli Taga will be the new Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs effective from February 3rd, 2025 while current PS Foreign Affairs Dr Lesikimacuata Korovavala will become the Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister.

Dr Korovavala will also assume duties as Acting Permanent Secretary for Immigration responsible to the Minister of Immigration.

Current Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Housing Manasa Lesuma has assumed additional responsibilities as the Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Policing on January 14th, 2025.

The Public Service Commission with the agreement of the Prime Minister confirmed the reassigning of the three Permanent Secretaries.

PSC Chairman Luke Rokovada stated that this development is part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to optimise leadership capabilities across key Ministries.
