Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew

Police officers must do justice to the oath they swore, to serve and honour the code of ethics and not focus on the internal petty issues.

This was highlighted by the Acting Police Commissioner Juki Fong Chew during the medal presentation this morning at the Suva Civic Centre.

Chew says he was delighted to see serving and former members of the Police Force during the medal presentation today.

He says its all about acknowledgment as the countdown begins for him being in that position.

The Acting Commissioner thanked the officers for their support and guidance through out his term.

He says the new Police Commissioner takes office in 3 weeks time and he is urging the serving officers to give him the same support and guidance.

Chew says officers who received medals today have earned the right to receive the medals which many have not.

He says they have gone through the burdens of yesterday and this year we can do better whether we are on duty or off duty.
