Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School Head Girl, Disha Chand with her mother

Discipline will be the key factor in leading the school forward for the 2024 academic year, as various upcoming school events will require the best attitude from the students. This was highlighted by Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School Head Girl, Disha Chand in an interview with fijivillage News after the 2024 Prefects Induction Ceremony today.

Chand says it is a role that comes with major responsibilities and it can be challenging as there is a lot of academic work that she has to cope with along with extracurricular activities. The 18-year-old says her mother has supported and guided her throughout her education life and she will forever be grateful for all her teachings. Insert: upcoming events MC 21st Feb

Meanwhile, the Head Boy, Faiaz Ali says it is a wonderful moment for him as he feels honoured to be entrusted with taking the responsibility.

Ali says he is motivated by his parents and teachers to be able to fulfill the duties assigned to him and he will resolve student issues if the need arises.

He adds that he was very excited about today’s ceremony and as a result, he could not sleep well because of the excitement for the big day.
