President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere had a surprise visit by the senior officers of the disciplinary forces, led by the Army Commander Major-General Jone Kalouniwai and Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho to wish the President a very happy birthday at the State House this morning.
The group was led by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces band, where the officers assembled at the State House and marched to the conservatory to await the arrival of Ratu Wiliame before first light.
While addressing the officers, Ratu Wiliame says he was surprised by their gesture since he had only heard of such occasions and to be accorded one was quite a surprise for his birthday.
The President also acknowledged the support of the disciplined forces and thanked all of those involved.
