Digicel signals dawn of a new era for TV for people of PNG

Digicel has signaled the dawn of a new era for Television for the people of Papua New Guinea with the launch of its new product called Digicel play.

The new TV provider will have 29 channels in total, including TVWAN a locally produced free to air channel.

TV channels that have been selected include the World’s best channels such as HBO, Fox Sports, Warner TV, Disney Channel, CNN, History and the English Premier League channel.

Other channels such as MTV, Nickeloden, ITV Choice, H2, Zoo Moo, Lifetime, The Outdoor Channel and Crime and Investigation will also be included.

The free to air channel will include programs like SBS World News, Queen Latifah, The Footy Show and Bananas in Pyjamas.

Speaking at the launch of Digicel play, Digicel CEO John Magos highlighted that they enter the TV Market with a mission to provide the best affordable programs.

To access Digicel Play, customers will simply need to purchase a Digicel Play Box and connect it to their own TV.
