Devo Babas eye glory at Fiji Bitter Marist 7s

Former Fiji 7s rep and Viti Roofing Devo Babas player Taniela Yaya has set his sights on lifting the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s and the Fiji Bitter Series title this afternoon at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Yaya, who hails from Nukubalavu village in Savusavu, says his team is sharpening its defence as they prepare for the semifinals after a dominant 24-0 win over Vacalea Young Boys in the main cup quarter finals.

He says they have been working hard over the past few weeks, and their focus now is on tightening their defence to ensure they achieve their goal.

He adds that despite losing to Police Blue last night, they managed to regroup today.

With momentum on their side, Yaya and his team are determined to bring their A-game this afternoon and claim the prestigious title.

The main semifinal is expected to start at 4:30pm, while the final will be held at 7:15pm.
