As we count down the hours to the Vodafone Deans' playoff tomorrow, the Under-18 team of Nabala Secondary School from Vanua Levu says they are ready for Nasinu Secondary School.

Seru Tuidravutu, one of the teachers assisting the boys, told fijivillage Sports that he trusts the strength and ability of the players and hopes they will deliver a good game tomorrow.

Tuidravutu says that back at school, they do not have enough gym equipment and often borrow weights and tyres from the Seaqaqa Police Station.

He also acknowledged the support from the parents who were eager to pay for their children’s fares to participate in the games.

The teacher is urging parents, guardians, and supporters to come out in numbers and cheer on the team, as this will boost the players’ performance on the field.

Nabala Secondary will play Nasinu at 1.55pm tomorrow.

In other U18 matches, Lelean Memorial School will take on Bucalevu Secondary School at 3.40pm.

In the U19 playoffs, Ratu Kadavulevu School will face Navatu Secondary School.

In the Weet-Bix Raluve quarter-finals, in the U16 Saint Vincent will meet Dreketi Central College at 8.30am, while Sigatoka Methodist will play Lomaivuna High School.

In the U18 grade, Natabua High School will face Adi Cakobau School at 10.30am, while Jasper Williams High School to face Nasinu Secondary School at 11.30am.
