Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea saw his penalty saved by his counterpart as they were beaten 11-10 on penalties in the UEFA Europa League final by Villarreal this morning.
Both sides were locked 1-1 at fulltime following goals from Gerard Moreno and Edinson Cavani.
Both sides scored ten penalties each which led to a showdown between the two goalkeepers.
Villarreal goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli stepped up to score his penalty and then saved De Gea’s weak effort.
