Five players from the Malolo Rugby Team, Douglas Daveta, Tomasi Tawake, Aminiasi Naituyaga, Esala Nalobo and Isaia Rugu have been named in the extended squad for the Fiji national 7s team.

Their inclusion is a proud moment for the Malolo Rugby community, as it highlights the talent and hard work the players have displayed throughout the Skipper Cup and Farebrother season.

Malolo Rugby Coach, Rupeni Nahiga expressed his gratitude to the Fiji Rugby Union for recognizing the players’ efforts and giving them the opportunity to train with the national squad.

Nahiga says this is an opportunity for these young men to learn, grow, and showcase their potential at a higher level.

He also reminded the players that this is only the beginning and urged them to remain disciplined and focused as they compete for a place in the final team.

Nahiga adds the selection of the five Malolo players is seen as a testament to the growing strength of grassroots rugby development in the islands and the depth of talent emerging from local competitions.
