The Ba soccer team has released coach Kamal Swamy because they cannot afford to pay him any longer and have appointed former midfielder Daniel Krishneel as the new coach.

Association President, Rynal Kumar says they have released Swamy because their income has been severely affected by the impact of COVID-19 and they could not afford to pay him.

Kumar has thanked Swamy for his services and wished him all the best for his future.

He also says Krishneel is not new to Ba and is also a C-License coach.

Ba will take on Suva in the Digicel Premier League at 3pm next Sunday at the ANZ Stadium.

In other matches on Sunday at 3pm Navua hosts Nadroga at the Uprising Sports Centre while Rewa plays Nadi at Prince Charles Park.
