DCEU fans rejoice as Henry Cavill announces his Superman return

Following Henry Cavill's announcement that he is officially returning as Superman, DCEU fans are celebrating on social media following his latest big-screen appearance.

While the DCEU did not have any new installments in 2022, Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam movie served as the kick-off for a new phase of Warner Bros. Discovery's interconnected universe.

As the film finally introduced Black Adam to the larger DCEU, the movie also re-established Cavill's version of Superman, who has not been seen on the big screen since 2017's Justice League.

Despite having already spoiled it, the post-credits scene for Black Adam gained a lot of attention as Cavill's Superman showed up to come face-to-face with Johnson's titular character.

While it was brief, Cavill's cameo was setting up things to come as he is becoming a regular player again in the DCEU.

Following Black Adam's release, Cavill confirmed his Superman return, with his latest appearance only being the beginning of his new era in the DCEU.
