Cure Kids Fiji today received a boost to their operation as they received a $35,0000 sponsorship from Digicel Fiji.

Regional Chief Executive Officer Digicel Pacific Shally Jannif says Cure Kids Fiji is an exceptional organization that is devoted to the enhancement of the health and well-being of children in Fiji.

She says they also work to find solutions to major health conditions that impact the lives of the children in the country.

Jannif says one area Cure Kids Fiji looks into is Rheumatic Heart Disease and this condition affects 1 in 50 children in Fiji and is the second leading cause of death in young adults in the country.

She adds improving children's health is a cause that is important to Digicel and for her this is a cause close to her heart as she has a son that is also challenged with a chronic illness.

Cure Kids Fiji Board Chair, Tony Whitton says they are thrilled to have Digicel Fiji as their partner and are grateful for their generous support.

He says this assistance will help them to improve the health and well-being of children in Fiji and to create a brighter future for our country.
