London 7s: Vakurunabili scores two tries as Fiji beats England 36-10 to book cup semi final spot with New Zealand

Josua Vakurunabili was too strong for the England defence as he scored two tries to help the Fiji Airways Men’s national 7s team beat England 36-10 and book their cup semi final spot against New Zealand at the London 7s.

Vakurunabili got his first try after a line break from the half way mark and immediately scored again after the restart.

Vuiviawa Naduvalo also got a try in the first half.

Pilipo Bukayaro displayed impressive support play as he got offloads on two occasions in the second half to score two tries. Jeremaia Matana was also got a try for Fiji late in the second half.

In the second quarter final New Zealand beat Ireland 17-7

In other cup quarter final results; Samoa beat Spain 34-12 and Australia eliminated South Africa 21-17.

The Cup semi-finals between Fiji and New Zealand is at 1.53am Monday followed by Samoa taking on Australia.

The Cup final will start at 4.58am Monday.
