Crusaders name strong squad to face the Blues, Fihaki on the bench

Defending Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific Champions the Crusaders have named a strong lineup for this weekend’s semi final clash against the Blues in Christchurch.

With coach Scott Robertson and a few of their players leaving the team at the end of the season, the team will want to provide a perfect send off for them.

Their unbeaten home playoffs record will also be on the line again this week as the Blues will be looking to spoil the party for the men in red and black.

Chay Fihaki who has maternal links to Fiji will be on the bench for the Crusaders.

The Crusaders side named to face the Blues are:

Tamaiti Williams, Codie Taylor (VC), Oliver Jager, Scott Barrett, Quiten Strange, Sione Havili Talitui, Tom Christie, Christian Lio-Willie, Mitchell Drummond, Richie Mo’unga, Leicester Fainga’anuku, Jack Goodhue, Braydon Ennor, Dallas Mcleod and Will Jordan.

The impact players are:

Brodie Mcalister, Kershawl Sykes-Martin, Reuben O’neill, Dominic Gardiner, Corey Kellow, Willi Heinz, Fergus Burke and Chay Fihaki.

The Crusaders will take on the Blues at 7.05pm tomorrow.

The Chiefs will host the Brumbies in the second semi final at 7.05pm Saturday.
