Counting for the 2022 general elections has started at all polling stations around the country,

The 1,435 polling stations have now become counting stations and officials are sorting out the ballot papers in the presence of Police officers and polling agents.

Counting of the pre-poll and postal votes is also underway at the National Count Centre at the Vodafone Arena.

We are awaiting provisional results from the National Tally Centre at the National Gymnasium.

There has been around 51 percent voter turnout for the 2022 general elections as at 5pm today.

311,000 of the 606,092 people had voted as at that time.

We are awaiting the final numbers from all the polling stations.

In the 2018 general elections, voter turnout was 71.92 percent.

458,532 of the 637,527 registered voters turned out to vote in that election.

fijivillage will have live coverage of the provisional count of the 2022 general elections from now until 7am tomorrow.
