Minister for Health, Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete and SODELPA MP, Niko Nawaikula

Minister for Health, Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete says communities in the Northern Division are saying they want their fully vaccinated numbers to be high and have also said that they want all those coming back to the North to be fully vaccinated.

He highlighted this after SODELPA MP, Niko Nawaikula asked why is it so difficult for people to travel to Vanua Levu.

Nawaikula says people have been swabbed more than once and provided authorities with whatever was asked for but still face difficulties in travelling to the North.

Dr. Waqainabete says they have worked hard to keep COVID-19 away from the North and those in the maritime islands.

He says fully vaccinated numbers for COVID-19 in the Northern Division are still picking up.
