Oceania Athletics has announced a partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners as sponsors for the Oceania Athletics Championships 2024.

In a statement, Oceania Athletics says through the sponsorship, consumer brands Powerade and Pure Drop will be provided to the athletes and technical officials across the 8-day competition.

They say the substantial product sponsorship will be provided to the largest number of participants and technical officials to have ever attended an Oceania Athletics Championships.

Oceania Athletics Association President, Robin Sapong-Eugenio says Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Fiji are synonymous with sports in Fiji, especially with Athletics.

Sapong-Eugenio says there is no doubt that this partnership will be beneficial to all the athletes and support personnel heading into Suva and the association cannot wait to continue to build this partnership into the future.

The sponsorship also includes, tents and coolers will also be present around the track to provide shade and opportunity to keep cool in the Pacific climate.

Meanwhile, day 1 of the championship will begin at 9am Saturday with the women’s Hammer throw finals.

The track events will begin at 1pm with the under 18 Women’s 100 metres hurdles.

The championship will be held from this Saturday to next Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
