She broke her previous record of 96 kg which she set in the Asian Championship in April this year.

Teammate, Yang Qian won the first available gold medal in the women's 10 metres air rifle final.

Naohisa Takato beat Taiwan's Yang Yung-wei in the 60kg judo final to claim the first gold for the host nation. South Korean pair An San and Kim Je-deok took gold in the mixed team archery while world Tennis number one Novak Djokovic made a good start as he continues his bid for the 'Golden Slam', opening with a 6-2 6-2 win over Bolivia's Hugo Dellien in the men's singles.
