The Chiefs have beaten the Hurricanes 30-19 tonight to book a Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific grand final showdown with the Blues next weekend.

All Blacks and Chiefs flyhalf Damien McKenzie showed his class scoring a total of 15 points off his boot to help his side secure the win.

The Chiefs raced off to an early 17-0 lead in the first 14 minutes through two converted tries and a penalty before the Hurricanes replied with a converted try to trail 17-7 heading into the break.

The visitors received two yellow cards, one in each half but did not deter them from hunting for the win.

The Chiefs went on to score 13 more points in the second half through a converted try and 2 penalty kicks while the Hurricanes managed to score two tries and a conversion which was not enough.

The Blues will host the Chiefs at 7.05pm next Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland.
