Romelu Lukaku scored his 12th goal of the season as Chelsea beat Middlesbrough 2-0 to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

Middlesbrough had knocked out Manchester United and Tottenham on their way to the quarter-finals but their hopes of claiming another English Premier League victim were dealt an early blow through Lukaku’s goal.

Hakim Ziyech scored the other goal for Chelsea.

Chelsea will find out who they will play in the semi-finals following tomorrow’s quarter-final between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool.

In other quarter-finals tomorrow morning, Crystal Palace takes on Everton while Manchester City faces Southampton. Meanwhile, Arsenal strengthened their grip on fourth place in the English Premier League with a narrow 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Bukayo Saka was the standout player as the Gunners secured a sixth win from seven games to move four points clear of fifth-placed Manchester United with a game in hand.
