The 23rd Ship for the World Youth Program has changed the mindset of the eleven youths who represented Fiji on the Japanese ship "Fuji Maru" and 24 year old Tailevu villager has already made plans to open up a community library.
These youths who left Fiji in January to be on board with foreign youths from different countries to deepen their friendship and understanding were hosted a welcome morning tea at Ministry of Youths and Sports this afternoon.
Jone Sinavi said more than 120 youths from around the world were on the ship and living with them for 43 days on the ship has been a life changing experience for him and that he now looks at the world at broader perspective.
Sinavi who was a school dropout said he wants to highlight the importance of reading and learning.
Meanwhile, Chief Guest, Principal Sports Officer, Elesi Ketedromo said she is hopeful that the youths have drafted framework to effectively contribute to Fiji and to apply the knowledge, skills and experience in the community.
