The sisters from Chanel Home of Compassion have thanked the many people who have come forward to assist them from last week after it was highlighted they were in need of adult diapers to look after their bedridden residents.

The Home had earlier put up some household appliances in return for adult diapers on the Barter for a Better Fiji page.

The sisters said these appliances are no longer in use and they always need adult diapers as they look after senior citizens.

Most of the senior citizens are bedridden.

Sister Esther Powell says they would like to thank the people for their generous support after they came forward in numbers following the story on fijivillage.com

Chanel Home of Compassion is a charitable and not-for-profit Nursing Home, which has been caring for the sick and frail elderly and disabled people from different ethnic and religious backgrounds in Fiji since 1952.

Currently, they are caring for 30 frail elderly and disabled women and men, some of whom have been with the Home since their childhood.
