Priya Chand walked away with a happy smile as three Police officers from Lautoka Market Station came to her rescue and returned her $4,500 gold chain which was taken in a grab and run incident yesterday.

Chand says while doing her shopping in Lautoka City, a man grabbed her gold chain and ran away, which, according to her, was part of her heart.

She says she is extremely happy and thankful to the young officer who immediately ran after the thief to retrieve her chain.

The 29-year-old says she could not believe her eyes when the officer handed her the chain.

According to Chand, we frequently hear people complaining and posting negative posts and comments about officers not doing their jobs truthfully and on time.

She says she is proud to be a true Fijian and is really appreciative of the officers who supported her and helped her get her item back in just 15 minutes.

She is thankful to the police for taking action against criminals and thieves as this will put a stop to such activities.
