People turned up in numbers to support the Frank Hilton Special School Walkathon this morning at Albert Park where the funds will go towards repair the school's fence and keep children safe.
67-year-old Mereoni Kalini, who was part of the fundraiser, says we should care for the elderly and children because that is where our blessings come from.
Speaking in the iTaukei language, Kalini says we should assist those living in poverty and those who are disadvantaged, as our wealth will come from helping these people.
She says when we care for and love our children, our blessings multiply.
Kalini also says she gives her time to assist children with disabilities and does not expect anything in return because she knows God will
bless her abundantly.
She acknowledged the people who turned up in numbers to support the work of the Hilton Special School.
Meanwhile, children also participated in different games such as tug-of-war and football.
