The Cakaudrove and the Macuata 7s teams have been confirmed as the final two sides for the 3rd leg of the Super 7s Series at Ganilau Park this week. Fiji Rugby Union CEO John O’Connor has confirmed that the two teams secured their places after a qualification tournament yesterday.

Cakaudrove will be known as North 1 while Macuata will be called North 2.

O’Connor says it is not easy to select the final two teams as they had a lot of interest from other clubs prior to the qualifying rounds.

Fiji 7s Coach Gareth Baber says it will be interesting to watch the hidden talents and see how they cope with a tournament which replicates the HSBC World Rugby 7s Series.

Baber says it is not the end for other teams which are not part of the 3rd Leg as there will be wild card entries in the final tournament as well.

Police Blue is currently leading the Super 7s series with 44 points after winning the first two legs.

The 3rd Leg of the Super 7s Series kicks off 8.30am Friday.
