COVID-19 vaccination drive in parts of Macuata and Bua today

The Health Ministry's COVID-19 vaccination drive starts today in parts of Macuata and Bua.

You can get vaccinated at St Mary's Primary School in Labasa, the Agriculture Quarters in Dreketi, Nadogo Secondary School in Wainikoro, Naduri Health Centre and Lagi Health Centre in Macuata.

In Bua, you get can vaccinated at the Nabouwalu Screening tent, Lekutu Health Centre and Wainunu Health Centre.

If you are going to the vaccination site please wear a proper mask and do not remove your mask to talk to anyone.

You must maintain a safe physical distance of 2 metres.

Carry an effective hand sanitiser and frequently sanitise your hands.

Please download the careFIJI app and turn on your bluetooth.

Bring your water bottle and essentials so that you do not have to share with anyone.

The Ministry of Health says they are targeting frontliners including private and public health care workers, defence force, sea and airports, and civil servants joining the COVID-19 contact tracing team, individuals involved in the Blue Lane Initiative, taxi, minivan and bus drivers, bankers, workers from petrol stations, individuals above 60 years of age, individuals with co-morbid issues such as diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions, asthma, HIV, cancer, renal dialysis patients and any other medical condition.
