COPA America: Canada beat Venezuela 4-3 in penalties to reach semi final

Canada claimed a 4-3 penalty shootout win over Venezuela to reach the COPA America semi finals for the first time ever this afternoon.

Canada, who scored just one goal across their three group stage matches, began the match with uncharacteristic urgency and their pressure paid off.

They will face defending champions Argentina in the semi final on Wednesday.
