Senior legal counsel of the Commission of Inquiry Janet Mason

Senior legal counsel of the Commission of Inquiry Janet Mason says after today’s session, they will have to recall some witnesses and hope to have them on Thursday and Friday.

Mason says FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali took the stand this morning, but Malimali did not finish her submissions as she had to attend a meeting.

She says Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica and Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions John Rabuku will front the Commission this afternoon.

When asked if the Commission has had a response from the Prime Minister and President regarding Malimali’s suspension, Mason says they have got the opinion, and there have been some discussions.
