Fiji Water Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne has revealed that he has been in talks with the Highlanders Fijian trio Timoci Tavatavanawai, Jacob Kneepkens-Ratumaitavuki and Jona Nareki for possible chances of them representing the Flying Fijians in the future if there is a change in their contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union.

While speaking to fijivillage News, Byrne says they have had talks before but unfortunately, their contracts with NZRU require them to be available for the All Blacks.

He says he has spoken to them in the past and nothing has changed as they are just honouring their contracts.

Meanwhile, Byrne says he is looking to name the Flying Fijians squad for the November tests by the end of next week.

The Flying Fijians will take on Scotland on the 3rd of November in their first test, they will then take on Wales on the 11th of November before playing Spain in the third test on the 17th of November.

They will play Ireland on the 24th of November in their final test.
