Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will now be able to get all the assistance they need at one place with the opening of the Business Assistance Fiji office at Vanua Arcade in Suva.

This includes financial advice, setting up of accounts and also financial assistance.

While officially opening the office this afternoon, Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum stressed such assistance should not only benefit those in Suva.

He says officials should venture out to rural and maritime regions where the majority of the MSMEs are located.

Sayed-Khaiyum says the opening of the Business Assistance Office is another milestone achievement where MSMEs can get the needed assistance they want to build or start their business.

Meanwhile, Business Assistance Fiji Chairperson Dr Nur Bano Ali says the BAF started in 2020 to assist MSMEs.

She says this was in response to the hardships faced by MSMEs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
