Oceania Gas to open fifth branch in Raiwai, 3 new jobs created

Oceania Gas is opening its fifth branch, marking a major milestone in supporting Fiji’s industrial, medical, and safety sectors.

Oceania Gas General Manager, Bruce McGregor says with the new branch now opening in Raiwai, the company is making its essential products and services more accessible to communities throughout Fiji.

He also highlighted that Oceania Gas supplies critical industrial and medical gases that are essential to a wide range of industries, including healthcare, sugar production, construction, shipping, beverage manufacturing, timber, and mining.

He says the expansion comes at a crucial time, as industries across Fiji continue to rebuild and grow following the economic challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

McGregor says the company’s strategic partnership with Vinod Patel has enabled it to invest in infrastructure, people, and services, enhancing its ability to deliver products and support recovery in communities across Fiji.

McGregor further says these gases are vital not only for medical use but also for industrial processes such as cutting and welding steel—activities that support national infrastructure and economic activity.

As part of the Raiwai branch opening, McGregor adds that three new jobs have been created, demonstrating Oceania Gas’s ongoing investment in local communities.

With this expansion, McGregor says Oceania Gas aims to meet the current and future needs of Fijian industries and to support national development through reliable supply and service delivery.

The official opening for the Raiwai Branch will commence at 6 tonight at Carpenter Street.
