Former Fiji Water Flying Fijians utility Levani Botia came off the bench in the early stage of the second half and scored a try to help his La Rochelle side beat Viliame Mata and Kalaveti Ravouvou’s Bristol Bears’ side 35-7 in their Investec Championship clash this morning.

Botia started off the bench and came onto the field in the 45th minute of the match and scored the try in the 50th minute.

The 35-year-old just returned from a long-term injury that kept him out of action for most of the French Top 14 competition this season and did not fail to impress in his return.

Meanwhile, Mata and Ravouvou both started at number 8 and on the wing respectively for the Bears this morning.

In other Investec Championship matches this morning, Northampton Saints beat the Bulls 30-21, Bordeaux thumped Ulster 40-19, Leicester thrashed the Sharks 56-17, and Leinster beat Clermont 15-7.
