Usain Bolt says that he will become immortal after winning his third Olympic Gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Bolt is attempting to be the first man to win three back‑to‑back Olympic 100m titles.
A win would earn Bolt his seventh Olympic gold, and take him one step closer towards Olympic Immortality.
To win gold, Bolt will have to beat Justin Gatlin, the fastest man in the world this year, as well as six of the quickest men on the planet.
The favourites to win 100 metres gold at the Rio Olympics are Jamaica's Usain Bolt, USA's Justin Gatlin and Jamaica's Yohan Blake.
The Men's 100 metres semifinals will be held at midday today and the final starts at 1.25pm today.
Meanwhile, Elaine Thompson of Jamaica has won the gold medal in the women's 100m sprint.
Thompson won gold with a time of 10.71 seconds.
She beat two-time Olympic champion Shelly‑Ann Fraser‑Pryce who won bronze.
USA's Tori Bowie won silver.
