A video of a pipe band playing Bollywood tunes to welcome the British Royal Family has gone viral on social media.

The Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band performed at the annual Commonwealth Day service at London’s Westminster Abbey on 10 March, but the video gained widespread attention this week after the band shared it online.

Describing itself as an ‘international Indian Pipe Band,’ the group blends Indian and Scottish melodies while dressed in full Scottish regalia.

During the event, the band performed Dhoom Machale to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla, while Teri Meri Prem Kahani was played for Prince William and Princess Catherine, along with other well-known Hindi songs.

The Commonwealth Day service is an annual event that celebrates the diversity, unity, and shared values of the 56 Commonwealth nations.
