MGM High School's Kesaia Boletakanakadavu

The lack of preparation heading into the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 1 competition did not stop MGM High School's Kesaia Boletakanakadavu from winning 3 gold medals.

Boletakanakadavu says there was a lot of challenges from other schools in this year's competition but she kept her focus on the goal and that was to defend her 100 metres title.

She says she now looks forward to the next challenge which is defending her title at the Coca-Cola Games next week and winning more medals for her school.

Boletakanakadavu has dedicated her win today to her family in Suva and back in the village, her supporters and most importantly to her sponsor, the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Lynda Tabuya.

The year 13 student won gold in the 100 metres, 200 metres and 4×100 metres finals.
