Olympics Gold Medallist and former Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s playmaker, Napolioni Bolaca

Olympics Gold Medallist and former Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s playmaker, Napolioni Bolaca is still on the selection radar for the National 7s squad.

This was confirmed by head coach Ben Gollings when asked by fijivillage News on a possibility of Bolaca making a return to the team.

Gollings says Bolaca was injured after the Olympics but he kept playing and was struggling with it.

He says the welfare of the players is important for him and he recommended a surgery for Bolaca so he can be able to get back to playing the best rugby he was known for.

Gollings says he is still keeping an eye on Bolaca and they need to get his surgery done as soon as possible and get back him into the training squad as soon as he recovers.

He says Bolaca is a fantastic player and it will be really good to see him back in the World 7s series circuit soon.

The next leg of the HSBC World 7s series will be held in Los Angeles from the 25th to the 26th of this month.
