The Blues are heading into this weekend’s Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific quarter final clash against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua with their feet on the ground but are also confident of bringing home the title this year.

Coach Vern Cotter says now is the time to bring everything learned through the season and put in three complete performances.

He says he has seen plenty from his leadership group that suggests they can bring the title home.

He adds captain Patrick Tuipulotu and the players are stepping up and taking everything on board and they are ambitious, they want to do well and want to go as far as they can in the competition.

Cotter says they have had a good qualifying phase and now they need to do what they can do, learn from other games and become better when it matters.

The Blues were hoping for a bonus point win over the Chiefs last week to finish at the top of the table but they could not manage to get the job done and finished off second.

Cotter says if you want to win the title, you have to beat everybody, so finishing second doesn’t matter.

He says there will be parts of that game against the Chiefs that they will review, and they will try and become better at it.

The Blues will host the Drua at 7.05pm this Saturday at Eden Park in Auckland.

In other quarter finals this weekend, the Chiefs will play the Reds at 7.05pm Friday, the Hurricanes will host the Rebels at 4.35pm Saturday and the Brumbies will play the Highlanders at 9.35pm Saturday.
