Blues coach Fittler’s future on the line in tonight’s State of Origin game 2

The future of NSW coach Brad Fittler is on the line tonight when the NSW Blues take on the Queensland Maroons in game 2 of State of Origin.

The Blues must win tonight’s battle and also the 2023 series to extend Fittler’s State of Origin coaching tenure.

Fittler was appointed Blues coach ahead of the 2018 series and has won three series and lost two.

The 51-year-old has made some interesting decisions and changes to his lineups ever since being given the role of the head coach, and most of them have paid dividends while some backfired.

All in all, when the dust settles tonight, not only will we find out if the Maroons are going to defend the title or if the Blues will extend the decider to an extra game, but we will also find out the future of Fittler’s coaching tenure.

The Blues will take on the Maroons at 10.05pm tonight.
