Belgium knock Portugal out of EURO 2020

Defending champions Portugal has been beaten 1-0 by Belgium in the EURO 2020 last 16 this morning.

Thorgan Hazard scored the only goal of the match with a vicious strike from outside the box in the first half.

Portugal came out firing in the second half and several opportunities to score but were denied by Belgium goalkeeper Thibaut Courtios.

Belgium will now play Italy in the quarterfinal on Saturday.

Czech Republic has also qualified for the quarterfinal after beating Netherlands 2-0 this morning.

In tomorrow’s matches, Spain play Croatia at 4am while France take on Switzerland at 7am.
