Baulevu High School clinched a dramatic 5-4 victory over Vunimono High School in a penalty shootout to win the Rewa Secondary Schools Football Association Boys Under-19 title at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Both teams were unable to score during regular time, which led to extra time, and the result was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout.

The tension escalated during the shootout, where Baulevu kept their composure to claim victory with a 5-4 score.

Both Baulevu and Vunimono High have now secured qualification for the Southern Zone Competition, which will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park next Thursday and Friday.

In other matches, Adi Cakobau School claimed the Open Grade Girls football title after a late 1-0 win over Vunimono High School.

In the boys’ division, Vunimono High School won the Boys Under-17 title following a dominant 3-0 victory over Nakasi High School, and they also claimed the Boys Under-15 title by defeating Nasinu Muslim College 2-1.
