Baptism of fire for Vuate Karawalevu as he faces off with Will Jordan

It will be a baptism of fire for Swire Shipping Fijian Drua fullback Vuate Karawalevu when he goes up against one of the top fullbacks in New Zealand and current All Blacks Will Jordan when the Drua take on the Crusaders in round 8 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific today.

Karawalevu says he has a lot of respect for Jordan but it will be an exciting tussle and he wishes Jordan all the best.

He says playing against the Crusaders will be exciting as they will be fielding a lot of All Blacks players for this match.

He adds they promise to deliver a good performance today as they look to redeem themselves after the loss to the Western Force two weeks ago.

The Drua will take on the Crusaders at 3.35pm today at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Meanwhile, a moment of silence will be observed before this match kicks off to remember VITIFM’s iconic personality, Maikeli Radua, who will be laid to rest today in his village in Waikete, Tailevu.
