It will be a baptism of fire for the Ba Methodist Under 16 side when they take on Ratu Kadavulevu School in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Super Deans under 16 quarter-final this weekend.

The school’s Principal Azam Ali says this is a great achievement for them as it is the first time as well for a team from their school to qualify for the national quarter-finals.

Ali says they are looking forward to this match knowing they are facing a giant of Fiji secondary schools rugby.

He says the school will enjoy this moment and it will go down in their history books.

Ali is calling on parents and old scholars to come in numbers and support the team on game day.

Ba Methodist will meet RKS at 10.30am at Buckhurst Park in Suva.

In other under 16 quarter finals, Suva Grammar will play Ba Provincial Free-bird Institute at 10.20am, Nasinu will face QVS at 11.30, and Marist Brothers High School will meet Lelean Memorial School.

Meanwhile, in the under 18 competition, Nasinu will take on Tailevu North College at 11.40pm, RKS will battle Cuvu at 1.05pm, MGM High will play Ratu Navula College at 2.30pm while QVS will take on Marist at 3.55pm with all four matches to be played at the HFC Bank Stadium.
