37 year old Ranoba Baoa and 36 year old Daniel Saunikalou Tuiloma who were jointly charged with alleged possession of illicit drugs and cash of over $20,000 believed to be from proceeds of crime, will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court on the 28th of this month.

Police earlier confirmed that the two were arrested following a joint raid conducted on the 29th of April this year at their home in Laucala Beach by the Southern and Central Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Unit, Fiji Police K9 Unit and Fiji Detector Dog Unit.

They say on the day of the raid, officers produced a search warrant whereby K9 capabilities were deployed and gave an indication of the substances that were later confirmed to be methamphetamine and marijuana.

Further search resulted in the discovery of more than $20,000 cash believed to be proceeds of crime.

Baoa and Tuiloma have been released on $200 bail.
