Bainimarama will remain as FijiFirst Party Leader for now - Koya

FijiFirst MP and Acting General Secretary, Faiyaz Koya & Former Prime Minister and FijiFirst Leader, Voreqe Bainimarama

FijiFirst Party Acting General Secretary, Faiyaz Koya confirms that former Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will remain as the FijiFirst Leader for now.

Koya confirmed this to fijivillage News when asked whether Bainimarama would remain as Party leader after he was found guilty for one count of attempt to pervert the course of justice.

He says the party will issue something a little later, but for now, Bainimarama is still the leader of their party.

Bainimarama was found guilty by Acting Chief Justice Salesi Temo and will be sentenced by Magistrate Seini Puamau on the 28th of this month.

The matter will be called on Monday for entering of his conviction, and the sentencing and mitigation submissions will be made next Wednesday.
