Bail has been extended for 45-year-old sports coach, Guy Morris who allegedly sexually assaulted 3 girls aged 13, 14 and 16 years in Suva.

Morris appeared before Magistrate Pulekeria Low this morning.

It is alleged that he sexually assaulted 3 girls from February last year to March this year.

Morris is charged with 8 counts of sexual assault and 1 count of indecent assault.

The defence lawyer asked the court if his client's plea can be deferred as his client has two complaints.

He says they would like to find out whether this is the final disclosures that the prosecution will disclose to them and why they served the second phase of disclosures to his client at his residence.

The lawyer says they will need time to discuss the disclosures and what action to take next.

Magistrate Low gave the accused 21 days to go through the second phase of disclosures.

The matter will be called again on the 23rd of September.
