Baby Bula Boys beat Cook Islands 2-1 OFC U16 Men’s Championship

The Digicel Fiji Baby Bula Boys under 16 side scored deep into stoppage time to beat Cook Islands 2-1 in their first match of the OFC U16 Men’s Championship 2024 in Tahiti.

Rishal Shanker was the toast of his side scoring two goals in the second half to give Fiji the win.

Cook Islands were leading 1-0 at halftime.

The Baby Bula Boys take on New Zealand on Wednesday 10am and Vanuatu on Sunday 1pm.

The tournament is highly significant, as the winners, runners-up and third-placed teams will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
