Baber wants to see how new players take the pressure of being an international rugby player

Taniela Sadrugu, Kaminieli Rasaku and Iosefo Masi are three of the new players who have made it to the squad.

The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Coach, Gareth Baber says he would like to see the new 7s players who have made it to the squad to take the pressure of becoming an international player.

He says these players have done exceptionally well and have won a spot in the team because of their behaviour and performance during training sessions and the challenge is how they cope with the stress of being scrutinised as an international rugby player.

He says it will not be easy or smooth sailing for them as individuals and as a team but the intensity and stress that will be on their shoulders will determine which players can represent the country in the Olympic Games next month.

The Fiji 7s team will be participating in the Oceania 7s from the 25th to the 27th of this month.

The Tokyo Olympic Games will be held from the 23rd of July to the 8th of August in Japan.
